At least one of you has lived in Florida for the six months before filing.

You both sign

Frequently asked questions
Do we have to go to court?
We ask the judge to excuse you from the final hearing and sign your divorce judgment in writing. Some judges still ask for a hearing: it's brief, it may be online, and we're there with you. If there is a hearing, you both need to appear.
Which of us do you represent?
Only one of you. In a divorce, a lawyer can't represent both spouses. Our client is the spouse who hires us; the other spouse signs a document acknowledging that we don't represent them and that they may consult their own lawyer if they wish.
How long does it take?
Florida law generally requires at least 20 days from the filing of the petition before the final judgment can be entered. After that, it depends on the judge and your county court's calendar.
How much does it cost in total?
Our fee is flat and shown above. Separately, the Clerk of Court charges a filing fee, paid directly to the court. We tell you the amount for your county before we file.
What if we have children or someone wants alimony?
Then you don't qualify for a simplified divorce, but you can do a regular uncontested divorce, which we also offer for a flat fee.
Which counties do you cover?
Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Polk, Volusia, Brevard, Marion and Sumter.
What if my spouse changes their mind partway through?
If one of you no longer agrees, the case can't continue as a simplified divorce. We'll explain your options for moving forward through the regular process.
Can you help us in Spanish?
Yes. We can handle the whole process in Spanish, from the consultation to the final judgment.
